Dennis Cotton is an elite music educator, accomplished performer, studio session player, and drum circle facilitator. Over his 25 plus year career, Dennis has recorded more than 50 albums, performed music for television, radio and motion pictures and toured worldwide. Dennis is an endorsed artist for REMO drums and drumheads, ProMark drumsticks and SABIAN cymbals and has appeared in Modern Drummer Magazine.

Dennis Cotton comes to Connecticut having taught in New York State from 1989-2006. NYS has exacting standards for it’s music students. Dennis student’s excelled in proficiency in the New York State Scholastic Music Associations (NYSSMA) annual solo competitions. Dennis’s students achieved perfect scores over 90% of the time! Several of Dennis’s students have received scholarships for drumming at Universities. Many of Dennis’s students have gone on to play music professionally. Dennis’s “hybrid” teaching method combines his extensive professional background with his 25 plus years teaching scholastic music to create a more rounded learning experience with enough depth to bring any emergent drummer to his or her full potential.

Cotton Drum School has teamed with Mach One Music to create ROCK BAND 101!

Middle and High School students are welcome to join our unique Rock and Roll Ensemble. Each 12 week session ends with at least one high profile gig. Past shows have been at Wapping Fair, Evergreen Walk and Paws in the Park.
